Quick answer
As of November 2026, HHPlayer for Samsung TV is coming soon to the Samsung Apps store and is not available yet. If you want to watch on a Samsung TV today, the apps verified for this article are Smarters Pro (listed as available on Samsung by its maker), Smart IPTV and Net IPTV. Pick by how you want to add your playlist and whether you accept a paid activation.
HHPlayer is a media player and includes no content. You bring a playlist or login from a provider you are entitled to use.
What to look for in an IPTV player on a Samsung TV
- Your TV's age. Samsung TVs run Tizen, and apps target specific Tizen versions. Older models may not be supported by newer app builds.
- Playlist type. M3U link or Xtream Codes login? See M3U vs Xtream Codes.
- Setup effort. Some apps take your login on the TV; others need you to upload the playlist on a website using a code or device identifier.
- TV guide and catch-up. Check that the app shows a proper EPG and supports your provider's catch-up. See our TV guide explainer.
- Price. Free, trial then paid, or one-off activation.
- Where it comes from. Install from the Samsung Apps store only. Tizen cannot install APK files, and be careful with look-alike apps: check the developer name in the listing.
The players compared
HHPlayer (coming soon on Samsung)
HHPlayer is free, with no ads, no account and no in-app purchases; your playlists and viewing history stay on the device. It reads M3U links and Xtream Codes logins and offers live TV with categories, favorites and a live preview, a full TV guide grid from your provider's XMLTV data, catch-up and restart when your provider supports it, movies and series with resume, search, multiple playlists and a parental lock. It is designed for the remote and for modest TV hardware. The Samsung version targets Tizen 4.0 and later (2018 TVs and newer); see the Samsung page for its status.
Smarters Pro
Smarters Pro, by Tech Smarters, lists Samsung TV as available on its website, alongside Android, Android TV, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Windows and macOS (LG is "coming soon"). The Samsung Apps listing for "IPTV Smarters Pro" is free and mentions live TV, movies, series, catch-up, the Xtream Codes API, an EPG, parental controls and multiple subscriptions; that listing's last update was May 2023, so check the store for the current version. Because many look-alike apps exist, confirm the developer in the listing. Details in HHPlayer vs IPTV Smarters.
Smart IPTV (SIPTV)
Smart IPTV's official site lists a Tizen 6.5+ build (2022 models and newer), version 3.1.3 dated July 2026. Activation is a one-off 5.49 EUR per TV. No channels are included, and you upload an M3U playlist on the vendor's website. We could not verify support for older Samsung models, so check that your TV is listed.
Net IPTV
The Samsung Apps listing for Net IPTV (netflipp GmbH) says no channels are included, with a free 7-day period followed by a paid activation; see the listing for the current price. Payment happens on the developer's website, and you upload your M3U there. The listing does not mention an EPG.
